About Me

My friends call me "Prats" (short for Prateeti) . I am a Post Graduate in English Literature working as a Software Engineer in a reputed Indian company based in Calcutta  . My interests include  western classical music, paintings (both Indian and European)    and , of course, literature. The last (though not the least) is not restricted to works in the English language alone.

Fond of  painting ever since I was a child , I work mostly in watercolours and sometimes in crayons . I also use a combination of the two , as is required by my subject . 

European paintings of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance  are of special interest to me , the former for  its stylistic achievements , and the latter for the sheer beauty of the human form.
